In a surprising turn of events, singer Leila Kayondo has forgiven her tormentor, Sully K Mbuga who
assaulted her on 31st December, 2015.
However, her forgiveness came a bit late as the businessman was already detained and the case filed for investigation.
Following Leila’s appeal to the IGP Kayihura on Thursday night for justice, Interpol Director Asan Kasingye ordered DPC Kabalagala Police Station to arrest the Mbuga.
The ‘Kikute’ singer was called to make a statement and she could not believe that her eyes when she saw the tycoon in jail. We are told that she started crying like a baby and pleading with the authorities to let her man go. Her pleas fell on deaf ears as the Police intend on having him pay for the crime.
“To all my friends and family thank you so much for the love and support you showed me in a hard moment. I forgave SK Mbuga and we went to Kabalagala police station to dissolve the issue and dismiss the case but unfortunately he was detained,” Leila wrote.
“Yes justice was served but I ought for forgiveness and I take this opportunity to thank IGP Mr. Kale Kayihura for taking my matter as a serious issue and letting justice take its course. God calls us to forgive and I did that,” she added.
We’ll keep you posted.
