The launch of Apple’s newest members to its iPhone community is nearing. According to online reports, the Cupertino-based tech firm is expected to launch three new flagship smartphones on September 12th – succeeding the iPhone X. The unveiling of the phones is said to be held at the company’s Steve Jobs Theater in California, U.S.A.

The expected phones are said to be an iPhone Xs with a 5.8-inch OLED display, a larger 6.5-inch OLED model (iPhone Xs Plus), and a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD variant (iPhone Xc). According to a leaked image, confirms the suspicion that one of the lined up 2018 iPhone models will include at least one variant with support for two SIM cards. Since the first release of an iPhone in 2007, all the models have been supporting only a single sim.

A leaked image posted on Chinese website Weibo, was first spotted by Tech Carving. The poster shows an iPhone model with a dual-SIM tray popping out with the text translating to “The new iPhone is on the market. Double card, full network. You’re late, I’ve been waiting. Dual card, dual network, dual 4G.”

There is no confirmation as to which iPhone 2018 variant will get a dual-SIM slot, but we shall have to wait till Wednesday to get a clearer picture.

However, according to reports, if this handset is indeed launched, it might be a China-exclusive model and isn’t expected to come out of China.

Pricing leaks claim that this year’s iPhone models will be quite a premium, at least in the Chinese market. The iPhone Xc is expected to start at CNY 5,888 (about UGX3.2 million), the iPhone Xs at CNY 7,388 (about UGX4 million), and the iPhone Xs Plus at CNY 8,388 (about UGX4.6 million) in the Asian country.
