Infinix Note 4 Pro Review: Incredible battery, amazing camera

Share this post:

My relationship with the Infinix brand didn’t start yesterday, it dates back to the Infinix Note 3 and Infinix Hot 4 that I held for quite a while and I loved for many other reasons. This makes me have a strong love for the new baby brand in Uganda that is barely three years old.

It’s exactly two weeks and a couple of days ever since I started out with the Infinix Note 4 Pro the latest from the folks at Infinix all the way to today where I have to recollect my thoughts and hands-on experience in a piece and tell you how I have found this little monster. I was all about the Love at first sight when I first saw the Infinix Note 4 Pro with a friend. I envisioned it being my next run to gadget after the Infinix Hot 4 had grown quite old and was stolen days later.

The Infinix Note 4 Pro is a sleek smartphone and has a curvaceous body that gives you a macho feel when you hold it in your hands. It’s as though you always want to hold it and simply feel how smoothly it sits in your hands. If you love slightly big phones, the Infinix Note 4 Pro that comes with 5.7-inch IPS Display, 1080 x 1920 pixels (386ppi) should be the gadget you run to.

The future of fingerprint sensors is still in a battlefield of where they should be and much as many want it to be in front, others want it to be at the back. Infinix has tried out both and with the Infinix Note 4 Pro, they put it in front inbuilt in the home button. While you are accessing your home menu, you also unlock the phone in one go. Swift, sweet and sexy!

Hey Pro, can you be my Donkey?

Okay now, I’m a heavy smartphone user. Before I buy any phone, I make sure my processor is ready to be taken for a serious ride of Multi-tasking because many times, my smartphone is my office on the move. Also, it should be my donkey. Coupled with my impatience, I am not about to settle for any lags or freezes.

The Infinix Note 4 Pro gave me a few lags and often froze when I over multi-tasked it and this got me worried a little about the 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 MT6753 CPU which is supported with 3GB RAM. On the days that I didn’t overwork it, I had a smooth flow and usage of the device. The Processor is quite heavy for a device this good to freeze. Furthermore, The Infinix Note 4 runs on Nougat (Android 7.0) and has a 32GB Storage with support for memory card up to 128GB. This makes you be able to save as many files, photos without worrying so much about space owing to the fact you can save on cloud too.

The 4G compatibility is a must. The Infinix Note 4 Pro mastered that Must!

Damn the Camera….

It’s pretty much obvious that some of the first questions you get when someone sees you are holding a new smartphone or when a company releases a new smartphone, the first thing people will look out for is the camera. The first thing I checked out in my ‘love at first sight’ encounter with the Infinix Note 4 Pro was, of course, it’s camera being the photographer wannabe that I am. It was indeed loved at first sight with the 13MP Rear Camera and 8MP Front Cameras that it comes with.

Although the camera doesn’t really optimize superfast in light, it takes a few seconds to give you a perfect shot with a fine lighting. The Selfie camera was my favorite because it had a few settings to have a fine shot. Photo and Selfie junkies can efficiently find the Infinix Note 4 Pro their run to device because they won’t get disappointed with the camera.

It’s on point, of course with a little patience to have the perfect shot. They say photography takes time to give you a fine photo, so should the Infinix Note 4 Pro camera. Believe me, you’ll love it.

Ohh the Battery…

No one loves a dead battery always. No one loves to always move around with their charger in a bid to get a charge when their smartphone battery runs low. The Infinix Note 4 Pro’s 4500 mAh Battery with Fast Charging are the two combinations that want to want to free of such issues.

It comes with a long-lasting battery which is just fine to have you go through a couple of days on a single charge and when it finally runs out, an hour is simply enough to have a refill. The X Charge feature charges your battery super-fast and you will hit the road back again.

Arguably the biggest seller, the X-charge is something you will fall in love with. However, you need to stick to its original charger to enjoy this one.

Unfortunately, I never got the chance to take their X-pen which is stuck in the cover for a ride because I was not availed with one for a test run but for those that have used it have given enormous positive feedback and have called it the ‘massape’ feature. When it comes with the X-pen and Cover, the Infinix Note 4 Pro goes for UGX 785,000 and if it doesn’t come with any of that, it goes for UGX 719,000. It can be found at all Infinix Phone outlets across the country or online shops.

The Verdict!

Going forward, I shared a few sentiments I came across using the Infinix Note 4 Pro, I was slapped with different reactions to this. Some said the device worked perfectly on their end well and they didn’t have any issues while others sighted a few issues that I faced as well.

This got me thinking; Either the ones that didn’t have Issues were actually right and their devices worked perfectly fine or I had a few issues on my device with hardware. If you faced the same problem like I did, It’s wise to have a technical guy check out your device quickly to help you sort out the mess before you have a bad user experience. Nonetheless, this should not stop you from getting yourself the Infinix Note 4 Pro anytime, any day. It’s a must-have!
