Grace Gashumba Crowned Miss Kampala (Photos)

Grace Tasha Gashumba stood out and beat 19 other contestants to win the first ever the Miss Kampala Royale 2015 crown.

The Red carpet event held Kampala Serena Hotel attracted a host of Kampala top class including Miss Uganda 2012, Phionah Bizzu, the reigning Miss Uganda Zahara Nakiyaga and others who turned up to witness the crowning of the city’s ambassador.

In addition to the dance routine which excited the crowd and had them cheering considering how the girls were wiggling their waists, the girl’s knowledge was put to test by judges by asking them random questions about Kampala. The girls also showcased their talents and Grace stood out, charming the hearts of the judges.

Other winners included Jenny Kembabazi (Miss Kampala Smile), Tendo Sandra (Miss Kampala Catwalk), Doreen Lwantale (Miss Kampala Congeniality) and Saidat Nantumbwe (Miss Kampala Bold and Beauty) Grace Gashumba being crowned Miss Kampala Royale.

Grace received a brand new car together with an all-expense paid trip to India to meet Miss World among other benefits.

In addition to the crown, she also won awards for Miss Photogenik and Miss face of Glow.

Grace however sent the crowd into panic when she fainted briefly after being pronounced the pageant winner.

She however got back to her feet and smiled confidently like nothing had happened.
