Uganda permitted to host WordCamp for the first time in History

After yet another seemingly successful year in the tech space, there is one last thing to wrap up the year and set the ball even rolling faster. WordCamp a global two day summit where WordPress users, developers and enthusiasts meet to learn, network, share contacts and have fun is happening at Outbox and incubation Hub in Kampala.

WordCamp has been happening globally with over 196 WordCamps every year in different cities of the world as seen at central.wordcamp.org. This is the first time that Kampala and Uganda has been permitted to host a WordCamp ever in History where we look up to networking sessions with over 250 wordpress Kampala community members.

The two day event from the 16th and 17th December 2017 at the OutBox Hub has 25 speakers from experienced WordPress users tackling issues like; monetising WordPress Blogs, Developing plugins for sale online,Security Analysis for the online scope with WordPress, Starting and perfecting online freelance careers, Affiliate Marketing with Amazon and WordPress, Wp Themes monetisation and Search Engine Optimisation.

The above topics and more will be addressed by people who have worked on them with experience and who have made money with them. At the WordCamp all meals like breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be served at no extra cost as they are catered for by your entry ticket. A WordPress T shirt will be given to all participant and a tag that will be essential in the networking sessions.

Each day of the WordCamp starts at 8:00am until 6:00pm to give enough time for the speakers and trainers digest the issues to the fullest. There will be a simple after party at the end of the last day of the wordcamp.

2. To book a ticket: Visit 2017.kampala.wordcamp.org and click on ticket. Each ticket goes for $5 if you are paying with paypal or Ushs.20000 if you are paying with airtel money or mobile money.

If you are applying with mobile money you still need to fill the ticket form with details and make the payment offline from our website.

3. To become a sponsor visit the website and click call for sponsors icon to apply.
