Celebrated Ugandan singer, Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone has called upon his fans to vote for Tanzanian music sensation, Diamond Platnumz in the 2016 BET Awards where he (Diamond) is nominated in the Best International Act – Africa category.
The “Wale Wale” hit maker revealed via Social Media that he had already voted for Diamond and asked his fans to vote for the singer so that he can bring the accolade home.
“I Just Voted Diamond Platnumz for the BET Best international Act – Africa !!! Africa have you voted??? Click the link on his profile and let’s Vote East Africa,” Jose Chameleone wrote on Instagram.
Diamond Platnumz Diamond Platnumz is the only East African Artiste that was nominated in this year’s BET Awards.
In the Best International Act – Africa category, he is competing with South Africa’s Aka, Black Coffee and Cassper Nyovest, Mzvee from Ghana, Serge Beynaud from Cote D’ivoire and Nigeria’s Wiz Kid and Yemi Alade.
If he wins the award at the BET Award ceremony on Sunday, June 26, at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, Diamond will become the second East African Artiste to ever win a BET Award after Uganda’s very own Eddy Kenzo, who won the BET International Viewers’ Choice Award in 2015.
