Uganda Christian University (UCU) has awarded her first-ever PhD degrees today.
The three doctoral graduates are Milly Erema Maturu (Doctor of Philosophy); David Goobi Kataate and James Selugo both graduating with a Doctorate of Ministry, a theological degree.
The trio are part of the 1,024 graduands that received their degrees in the Mukono-based university’s 19th graduation ceremony.
Notable among them is city lawyer and former Presidential Advisor, Hussein Rugaba Kashillingi who graduated with a Master of Laws in Oil and Gas.

The University’s deputy vice chancellor, academic affairs, Dr Benon Musinguzi told Matooke Republic that UCU has grown steadily adding that more PhDs are underway.
