Ugandan businessman based in South Africa, Cameroon Gitawo is extending his interests to fashion. This comes after rumors indicated that he is in talks with local fashion designer and proprietor of the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs), Ahumuza Brian aka Abryanz to come on board for this year’s edition of the annual fashion awards.
Sources have intimated to us that Gitawo wants to officially represent the Ugandan community in South Africa at the annual event that is marked by glitz and glamour.
Although the talks are said to be in their early stages, sources say that if they are successful the tycoon is preparing a sponsorship package of around Ugx 50 million to boost the award ceremony. He will also be expected to give out an accolade at the award ceremony.
The ASFAs which were held for their fifth edition in 2017 are a premier fashion event in Uganda that has become a mainstay on the social calendar.
