Afande Kirumira awaits ruling today as Erias Lukwago volunteers to be his lawyer

The anticipated judgment of hard boiled ex-Buyende District Police Commander Mohammad Kirumira is expected today in the Police Tribunal.

Unlike the previous appearance where Kirumira was acting his own lawyer, Erias Lukwago, the Lord Mayor of Kampala will be representing him.

Lukwago yesterday revealed that it’s illegal for the police tribunal to be trying Kirumira without a lawyer. On such grounds he decided to stand in for Kirumira. The police tribunal had previously charged Muhammad Kirumira with six counts, relating to irregular conduct, but four of them have since been dropped.
