Ugandan actress Florence Kasumba to appear alongside Beyonce in new movie

Ugandan actress Florence Kasumba, who is currently based in USA, has landed a role in an upcoming Disney movie.

The actress will play the character of antagonist Shenzi, who is a leader of the hyena pack as Disney remakes a live-action of their animated classic film, “The Lion King”.

She’ll join an all-star cast that includes pop singer Beyonce as Nala, Donald Glover as Simba and James Earl Jones as Mufasa. Others stars in the cast include Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Oliver, Seth Rogen and Alfre Woodard.

The movie is set for release on July 19, 2019.

Meanwhile, Florence Kasumba has previously featured in other high profile movies like “Captain America: Civil War”, and “Wonder Woman”among others.
