Taxi operators who were defying daily levies by KCCA had their lucky day when they realised the president’s convoy was a few metres away. They blocked the convoy and got the president to address them!

“Taxi operators at Clock Tower stopped me on my way to work this morning, complaining about the excess daily levies imposed on them by Kampala Capital City Authority. I urge them to be patient. Their concerns will be addressed. I personally do not support the idea of daily levies. If the rich are taxed at the end of the month, why should the poor be taxed daily? I will return and we address their concerns”, The president’s Facebook page read.
