Kadaga annoyed with Police, wants Museveni to explain parliament raid

Following the unfortunate saga parliament raid by plain-clothed security operatives on 27th September, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt.Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, has asked President Museveni to explain the circumstances surrounding the dubious acts.
In a letter dated October 23, copied to the Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs, Inspector General of Police and Commander of the Special Forces Command, Kadaga seeks for answers on identities and motives of the operatives involved in the regrettable raid and purpose for their deployment.

Kadaga is also wants to know who commanded the operation as she insists that CCTV footage shows that a section of the people seen beating MPs are not attached to parliament as staff or the sergeant- at –arms.
However this afternoon, the Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura has responded to a letter demanding answers for the raid on parliament by security operatives in September, by turning up for a meeting with the speaker.
However it should be noted that after the parliament raid, IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura bragged having have planned the dubious act. He made this statement while addressing the press where he said that according to their intelligence networks, opposition MPs had plans of burning down parliament.
He also faulted opposition legislators for starting chaos that led to innervation of Special Forces command (SFC) and lauded them for bringing order and calmness in parliamentary chambers ‘’Good work done’’. Kaihura said.
The indiscipline at parliament was a result of tension raged from allegations by the Kira municipality MP Semuju Nganda that minister for water and resources Ronald Kibuule had sneaked a gun into the parliamentary chambers which is controversial to parliamentary laws and procedures.
Upon their suspension, the speaker gave 30 minutes for security operatives that were involved with men in civilian attires to evict suspended MPs out of the plenary.
