22 year old Rukungiri Age limit protest victim Edison Nasasira alias Kakuru was this afternoon laid to rest.
Kakuru, the man who was killed during the clashes between the protestors and armed police officers in the western part of the country was shot on the head, though police insist he was hit by a stone from his fellow protestors.
His entombment was held in Kafunjo cell, Eastern division in Rukungiri Municipality and was attended by thousands of prominent opposition members who described him as a hero died fighting for his country.
“Rest in peace, you died when you were fighting for your rights, you will always be missed by your family, friends and your party members.” Said one of the FDC Members at the burial.
