Kayihura
The inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura has this morning sacked the embattled Rukungiri District Police Commander Richard Emuna replacing him with SP. Nanoka Moses after losing an eye in the recent scuffle between opposition supporters and the police officers.
In a hand written letter directed to the police Human Resource Director on Sunday morning indicted that the transfers have to apply with immediate effect.
However in the same reshuffle, Kayihura also transferred Makerere University Police Commander Mucunguzi Jackson to Bwebajja for a senior cadet course replacing him with ACP. Abeine Enock
This reshuffle comes a few days after police had received mega criticism from the ruling party and opposition members over the use of excessive force during the age limit consultative meetings held in Rukungiri Municipality where even one Kakuru lost his life and left several injured.
