The Uganda Communications Commission (U.C.C) has banned Bobi Wine’s new song titled “Dembe” from being played by all Radio and TV stations.
In the song, the Firebase boss expresses his disappointment in the leaders who do not want to leave power. He calls for the youth to stop being used in electoral violence.

Bobi Wine asks for calmness in the forthcoming 2016 general elections. He adds that Ugandans should learn to transfer power from one person to another peacefully just like Nelson Mandela.

Much as the song has a strong message to society, some politicians in the Government saw it as a threat and asked U.C.C to ban it.
Bobi Wine’s fans and those who love the song say it is not fair and have vowed to spread it countrywide through the internet and popular messaging app, WhatsApp.
