Huawei Uganda Partners With HiPipo To Award Ugandan Artists

Huawei, a Chinese technology company announced its partnership with HiPipo to award musicians in the fourth edition of the HiPipo music awards yesterday at Rwenzori Courts.

“We thank HiPipo for this wonderful initiative, where a corporate company like Huawei gets a chance to support such social causes that impact local talents in the community. The Huawei smart phones enable you to download local music, share it with friends and most importantly listen to it,” says Mr. Stanley Qin, the managing director of Huawei Uganda.

The C.E.O HiPipo, Innocent Kawoya said unlike the previous events, this year’s event is going to award the fans were a lucky voter will walk away with a black convertible Peugeot 207 car through a draw.

The event aims at recognizing and awarding different musicians in various categories. They will also walk away with monetary prizes.

The Hipipo Music Awards have stood the test of time and are currently the most prestigious music awards in the country.

Attend this year’s HiPipo music awards this Saturday, 30th January at the Kampala Serena Hotel Victoria Hall. Tickets go for Shs. 50,000 and tables at Shs. 3 million.
