Navio Asks East Africans To Vote For Bebe Cool In The MTV Africa Music Awards

Bebe Cool’s Love You Everyday video was nominated for MTV Africa Music Awards in the ‘ Video Of The Year’ category. Rapper Navio Kigozi has called upon Ugandans and East Africans to support Bebe Cool. Navio says there’s alot of hate for those who try to represent. Through his Facebook portal, he requests everyone to vote for Love You Everyday. Here’s his full post:

East African artists have put themselves in a place where we can ALL support and uplift ourselves. We have a problem of not supporting our artists. I saw a lot of hate for Radio & Weasel at B.E.T and now already I see some haters for Bebe Cool. We don’t need this. I have put myself in a position to represent my people many times, so I’ve seen how we act with nominations and performances on the biggest stages in Africa for years. If you really want UG to ascend to something greater… push hate to the side and support. Somebody told me recently “Sauti Sol are nominated for B.E.T. When you reach there is when we will vote for you!”. So I asked him if he voted for Radio & Weasel 3 years ago when they were nominated at B.E.T. He answered “No”. Case closed. #Vote
