Eddy Kenzo has landed in Los Angeles, United States where the BET Awards are taking place tonight.
The Sitya Loss hit maker was nominated in the Viewer’s Choice Best New International Artist Category together with 5 other contestants; Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), George The Poet (UK), Novelist (UK), MIC Lowry (UK) and Mc Vee (Ghana).
Kenzo is tipped to win the accolade unless something awkward happens. The winner is decided basing on the votes accumulated on through photo sharing app Instagram. The voting closed with Eddy comfortably in the lead.
The singer is very nervous, he says this is too big for him. He remains thankful to the Almighty for his nomination. “God is involved,” he says.
Eddy Kenzo is only the second Ugandan act to get a BET nomination following Radio and Weasel who lost the Award to Nigerian Ice Prince in 2013.
