Cindy Sanyu is a Ugandan artist who has been on the music scene for around 10 years. She was formerly part of Blu3, an all girl singing group before pursuing a solo career. She rose to fame with her ‘Ayokyayokya’ hit. She has also received various awards for her music.

Yes, she’s called Kyaligonza.

The shoes are 85k, I got them from town, the leggings are 25$, the hair was done at 55k, including the wig.
How much do you pay for the make up?
45k if I have not carried my own make up.
I do the nails myself, so its free.

Like all women…cheating would really piss me off.

Clear the air about you and Phina fighting over a man.
I was also shocked when I saw the story in the papers. Phina and Ken had broken up 3 years ago! I was surprised at the various false accusations she made about me stealing her man.
Why did you and Mario break up?
He became too busy with Cayenne, he had very little time for me. I became lonely when I was with him, that’s why I broke up with him. I decided to move on.

What happened between you and Blu 3 ?
They fired me, that’s the plain truth. I still don’t know why. We had done alot together, we were like sisters.
What exactly happened?
We had been working very hard for sometime, so Steve gave us a one month vacation to go anywhere we wanted. Jackie went to Arua, Lillian went to Kigali and I flew to Spain, along with Mario, using my own money. So midway the vacation they call me to come back and work since they were becoming broke. But I could not, I had spent alot of money and I was still having fun. So I told them to use Mya (then a dancer), because she had stood in for me earlier when I was sick. Later I got a phone call, these are the exact words, “We are moving on without you”

Tell us about the nudes saga?
The nudes….first of all they are mine, no photoshop or anything. I took them when I was younger. Mario was in Italy and we were missing each other. So he asked and I sent them to keep the relationship alive.
At some point we were having relationship problems and one day I just found them in the newspapers. That’s how it happened. It wasn’t a publicity stunt like the media claims.

Have you had any fights with anyone?
Yes, there’s a girl called Olivia, I think she’s now A Pass’ manager. They had organised a show, I performed but since the turn up wasn’t that much, they did not have enough money to pay me. I left them and we agreed they would pay me later.
Later, at another concert I approached her and asked for my money, then she asked me who I was!!! Thats when hell broke loose, I beat her….security saved her.
