Kayihura orders UMEME to switch off Power as 3000 soldiers ring Parliament

Gen Kale ordered UMEME limited  to turn of electricity in districts around Kampala as the age limit bill is expected to be passed today Tuesday,this in effort to deny Ugandans a chance to know what is going on in parliament. In Mukono electricity was switched off at 7:00 am

That said chaos has resumed in parliament, the speaker suspended the house after MP’s started complaining about plain clothed soldiers surrounding parliament. Hon. Odonga Otto had confronted Hon. Solomon Silwany for saying soldiers are around Parliament but they are praying.   According to our reporter, there over 3000 soldiers surrounding parliament and that most are stationed at the national theater.

MPs heard saying “there is a stranger in Parliament” “Plates which were being used by security personnel camping at Parliamentary chapel have been taken away by Parliament security,”

 Below is what some M.p’s are saying;

“These soldiers are urinating in bottles and throwing in our church”

“I saw them,  they were in thousands,I saw about 300 soldiers at the chaplaincy. Those who were in plain clothes were about 50 and those in uniform were about 300. Truth has started coming out but we are not moved”

“The musical instruments in the Catholic chapel have been broken. You can go there and see”
