The new year has started on a sad note for Leila Kayondo, who is recovering from wounds incited by her on and off lover, SK Mbuga yesterday (December 31st) afternoon.
The singer, who also doubles as a fashionista last night took to social media and accused the businessman of repeatedly beating her up and later bribing the Police.
Mbuga has not entirely denied these claims. He has accepted that he is responsible for the singer’s currently swollen face and explained how it came to that.
It all started yesterday morning, when Leila asked SK for money to celebrate her birthday, which is today, 1st January 2016. The tycoon says that he then gave her Shs. 10 million to throw a birthday party with her friends.
At around midday, Mbuga was informed that Leila was having lunch with a another man, a Congolese soldier named John Kabango, at Speke Resort Munyonyo. SK Mbuga then rushed to the scene, and was shocked to find Leila on a date with Kabango.
The pencil-thin tycoon then interacted with the soldier, who admitted to having an affair with Leila, and quickly apologised.

Mbuga asked Leila to hand over the keys to the red Mercedes Benz that he recently gave her. Things turned bad when the singer resisted, and physically attacked Mbuga, also mentioning that he doesn’t own her since he has a wife.
It is then that the businessman punched her hard and she knocked her head on the car, hence the big swelling on her face.
