Madam Sophie, the mother to musicians Maurice Kirya, Vampino and Saba Saba sadly passed away this afternoon in Mulago hospital where she was rushed while in critical condition on Thursday.
It’s a very difficult moment for the singing brothers and the entire family and we have them in our prayers.
Local celebrities have started posting condolence messages to the bereaved. Radio presenter Brian Mckenzie had this to say; “When I met this lovely woman, she reminded me of my late mother. Kirya talked about his mom every chance he got and everything he said, I saw it for myself. It’s so sad that she has passed on so early but surely she has done her Job among us pretty well and she deserves and Peaceful rest.” RIP: Mama Kirya
